It is an initiative that seeks to support the hotel sector in the midst of the financial crisis it is going through, as a result of COVID-19. It is a project of TRT Lodging company with more than seven years of experience in the market in electronic commerce, strategies and analysis of business intelligence and expansion of revenue management. TRT Hotel Rescue, is to provide an online platform, through which people can acquire a type of? Gift cards? (in exchange for a reward that includes extra benefits in the future) or make donations. The money raised will be used to generate cash flow for the hotels participating in the project.

It is important to mention that the platform is completely free, it does not have a monthly cost, nor does it have a subscription cost for participating hoteliers.

TRT's raison d'être is hoteliers. Our mission is always and will be to generate confidence and tranquility, and even more so in times of so much uncertainty. That is why the idea arose to provide a platform that supports the hotel sector and encourages it to move forward, through the generation of cash flow.
On the other hand, it is important that our market is aware that TRT is an expert in Revenue Management and electronic commerce. We are specialists in the field.

Any hotel can be part of the project, once they accept the general guidelines and specifications of Hotel Rescue and provide their consent, after being contacted by the TRT sales team.

At the moment, the platform is only enabled for properties in the countries where TRT has a presence: Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador.

It is important to note that in this project there is a fundamental component of risk control and management by TRT, which is why all property must go through a data verification process before airing on the platform, in order to avoid possible cases of fraud.

Each hotel may collect a total monthly amount of $1,500.00, $3,000.00 or $8,000.00, between donations and the sale of rewards, depending on the campaign assigned by TRT.

TRT charges a commission from the 10% for administration cost on the platform, which is applied to the total gross collected, including donations and rewards. It is the only charge that TRT issues.

From the day the hotel uploads to the Hotel Rescue platform, periodic outages will be made, where a Customer Service Executive will contact the hotel to inquire if they wish to proceed with an advance of money (in case they have an amount collected) or if it is your preference to continue accumulating until you reach the goal.

Anyone can access the platform in order to support the hotel sector. The means of payment will be through a debit / credit card or PayPal, with all the security of the case provided by the platform. It should be noted that there will be no other methods to collect money, such as cash payment or bank transfers.

The donor may collaborate through two ways:

  1. Donations: it is money destined to help the hotel, without obtaining a benefit in return. The maximum donation amount allowed to the platform is $50 or $100, depending on the hotel's campaign. If the person wants to donate more, they should consult the customer service area to evaluate their case individually.
  2. Rewards: They function as a type of? gift card ?, that is, the person donates money in order to receive a future benefit in return.

There are 3 types of campaigns that TRT can assign to a hotel, each with a maximum amount per donation and 4 types of predetermined rewards. Are detailed below:

Campaign 1

  • Campaign amount: $1,500.00 per month
  • Donation Amount: Minimum: $10? Maximum: $50
  • Rewards:
  1. $55 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  2. $100 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 10% discount on public rates for the dates of the reservation + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  3. $150 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + internet + 15% discount on the public rate for the dates of the reservation + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  4. $200 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 20% discount on the public rate for the dates of the reservation and upgrade to a superior room + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.

Bell 2

  • Campaign amount: $3,000.00 per month
  • Donation Amount: Minimum: $10? Maximum: $50
  • Rewards:
  1. $55 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  2. $100 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 10% discount on public rates for the dates of the reservation + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  3. $150 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + internet + 15% discount on the public rate for the dates of the reservation + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  4. $200 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 20% discount on the public rate for the dates of the reservation and upgrade to a superior room + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.

Bell 3

  • Campaign amount: $8,000.00 per month
  • Donation Amount: Minimum: $10? Maximum: $100
  • Rewards:
  1. $110 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  2. $200 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 10% discount on public rates for the dates of the reservation + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  3. $300 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + internet + 15% discount on the public rate for the dates of the reservation + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.
  4. $400 (Applicable to your next stay) and receive FREE: Breakfast + Internet + 20% discount on the public rate for the dates of the reservation and upgrade to a superior room + 10% discount on BMI travel insurance.

In all cases, the following should be taken into account, regarding the provisions and benefits of the rewards:

  1. The amount of contributions never expires.
  2. Donors must contact the hotel to apply the reward.
  3. The merchant is solely responsible to donors for the care and quality of the goods and services advertised as rewards.
  4. The donor must request the invoice directly at the hotel when using the gift card.
  5. TRT Hotel Rescue, in its sole discretion, exceptionally and in case of force majeure, reserves the right to recognize the Contribution to a Campaign and offer similar Benefits with other Campaign Owners similar to the one the user / donor decided to endorse, as an alternative to refund.

It should be noted that the benefits of the rewards of a hotel may vary, after review and approval by TRT, depending on the characteristics and particularities of the property.

At the moment it will only be with credit or debit cards and with Paypal. Bank transfers or cash payments will not be accepted. This is to guarantee better control of donations and to avoid fraud or money that comes from sources or activities without bank support.

The end user will receive an email with a reward or donation number, confirming the amount involved and the benefit (in case they have purchased a reward).

Partners are companies that support the execution of the project in some way. With them we guarantee the transparency of processes and the support, in addition to supporting this initiative with social responsibility. As soon as there are organizations willing to help with the cause and encourage donations, they will be added to the "Partners" section, so that the public knows their role within the initiative, that is, the benefit they offer will be published.

It should be noted that, in addition to the banking sector, we have generated strategic alliances with structures such as Grant Thornton, as auditor of our processes, to assure the public that our structure and processes are clean.

At the moment the platform is enabled only for hotels, however, if there are businesses with a similar nature in the tourism sector that wish to be part of the project, this possibility will be evaluated.
